Grizzly bears can be spotted occasionally during
marine eco-touring trips but if they are your primary passion be
sure to book our 4 day/4 night package because it includes a
land based bear viewing opportunity. |

You and your guide are off to visit "Trapper
Rick's" cabin. This is a day long trip
consisting of an all terrain vehicle ride, a small river
crossing by boat, and a short walk to a prime grizzly and black
bear viewing location on the Kak-Wei-Ken River.
There will be
some walking required so a mild exercise program before your
trip is highly recommended. If this is an issue please contact
us via email before your visit.

Depending on the time of year, you'll spend the
day observing many bears fishing for returning salmon and
interacting socially with one another. You'll also be
provided with a picnic lunch so your viewing time will be
uninterrupted.
When you return to the Lodge, you'll be greeted with a
Pacific Seafood Dinner including salmon, Dungeness crab, and
prawns with all the trimmings.
New for 2007: Our Yurt is under construction
and scheduled to be finished this spring , weather
permitting. When it's complete, you will you have the choice to
extend your Grizzly viewing opportunity by spending the
night at the yurt instead the day trip to Trapper Rick's.
